The night’s are drawing in

I got an unexpected sunny welcome landing at Heathrow Airport this morning. Fast forward ten hours and I’m sat in my parents conservatory looking out at the South Downs which are quickly becoming shrouded in November darkness.
Flights from Bermuda are still going into Heathrow instead of Gatwick, which I’m irritated by because Gatwick was so easy to navigate quickly through whereas Heathrow is a zoo, and adds at least another hour to my journey to visit anyone I’d want to see.
I’m home for a week, spending the first part of it with my folks in East Sussex, before a long overdue Essex night out with my old crew over there on Friday and then Saturday will be a long day with a little football thrown into the middle.
Incidentally my mate managed to get his money back today after buying our tickets a few weeks back before Thomas’ #FillTheValley initiative. Currently the attendance is looking to be on the 23k plus range. The Jacko effect is in full force.
I’m staying in town Saturday and Sunday with my brother who I haven’t seen for far too long since Covid strangled freedom of travel and hugging.
Anyway, back to my belly warming glass of Malbec and bowl of Cheeselets as Mum cooks dinner. Nice evening all.
Welcome home, let’s nope you bring good luck to The Valley.
Thanks Tony.
There is only one place to be on Saturday 20th November and that is The Valley SE7. Tickets all bought and cannot wait for the match. Please Thomas Sandgaard appoint JJ as the Permanent Manager of our great team. COYR.
Well David, Thomas has copied me by flying back this week.
Are you planning on a sneaky pint before the game?
KHA – of course ☺️. I sent you a WhatsApp.
Nothing like a beautiful sunny Autumn day in England.
Seems it may be almost a sell out – got our friends coming – but I have carefully explained to them what usually happens on these occasions. I wonder if anyone warned Thomas?
Morning LP. What a beautiful sunny day. Yes these days should come with a warning, but we did win the last quid for a kid at least.
