United youngster Levitt signs on a season loan
Unless you are a follower of Manchester United’s U23’s or up to speed on recent new Welsh caps, then the name Dylan Levitt wouldn’t have meant much up until the weekend when it dropped that Lee Bowyer and Steve Gallen had snaffled the 19-year midfielder on a season’s loan.
The North Wales boy came through United’s academy and this will be his first taste of first team football although Ryan Giggs felt he worthy of a call up to the Welsh national squad a year ago, making his debut last November. Giggs kept him the squad for the recent round of matches alongside Jonny Williams.
Bowyer spoke to Man U’s head of first team development Nicky Butt, who was full of praise for the player, as was Giggs, and he sounds an astute passer of the ball who can play deep lying or advanced in midfield.
Steve Gallen said: “We’re pleased to bring him in. He’s very well respected at Manchester United and well respected by the Welsh squad.”
Welcome young man and I hope by the time you leave us your name is much more widely known.
