RIP Sir Maurice Hatter

A long time quietly influential constant at Charlton has sadly left us. Sir Maurice Hatter passed this week aged 90. A local boy done good, Sir Maurice was an electronics tycoon who built his business was scratch and was a long time philanthropist, leader and advocate at World ORT, a Jewish global network for education.

At Charlton, Sir Maurice provided the initial funding to establish CACT, and was a continual financial contributor. He also quietly backed the club in hours of need, and is one of the seven directors still owed £7m.

My thoughts are with his wife and family at this difficult time.
