Inexplicable

Inexplicably over this Christmas season we play on a Monday night in the East Midlands and then, worse on a Thursday night in South Wales. Both work days. Thank you Sky Sports 🙏.

Since that extraordinary day at Wembley we have not won on the box in six attempts after Sky suddenly came across us after our scintillating start to the season. 750 Addicks will travel to Pride Park tomorrow evening as Bowyer’s men look to build on 5 points in the last 3 games.

Wayne Rooney will again sit in the stands with his first game to come on Thursday against Barnsley. A match also moved for the Sky cameras.

There were a hatful of goals in The Championship today topped at St Andrews as Leeds won a crazy game 5-4 due to a tortuous own goal from Wes Harding. West Brom lost at home for the first time since February but those two are now 9 points ahead of their promotion rivals.

Down our end of the table we stayed 7 points above the drop zone as Stoke lost at Fulham, Luton at Bristol City and Barnsley got a point at Swansea. Wigan missed a penalty as they lost at Forest.

Oh and David Moyes is going back to West Ham. Great imagination and ambition shown there from Gold, Sullivan and Brady.
