A very uninspiring draw, despite West Brom’s lofty place in The Championship and our thrilling game with them at The Hawthorns earlier in the season. Yet, as so often happens, the draw means we will play the Baggies twice at home in week.

It has now been 22 years since we last got drawn against against Premier League opposition (Newcastle) in the 3rd Round.

Man United was the team drawn before us, and even being picked at home had my heart sink. Oh well, we can always concentrate on the league as we’ve doing since 1947. We’ve only made it beyond the 3rd Round once in a decade.

Hopefully by that date in January, which will probably be the Sunday as we play the Thursday before, we will have some players back from injury, Otherwise Bowyer’s Reserve side will look pretty much as the side does now.
