JFC signs new contract
And some good news on a Sunday. Jake Forster-Caskey has signed his offered contract and will wear the red shirt in The Championship next season.
The injury and the timing of it last summer was heartbreaking for Jake and all Addicks as great things were expected on the back of an excellent season the year before, which only got better under the tutelage of Lee Bowyer.
Bow said: “For me, he’s like a new signing. We had him back towards the end of last season, but he just wasn’t quite there. The reports I’m getting now are that he is absolutely flying again.”
Just a year though, possibly understandable on the back of his injury, but it keeps us in the vicious circle of never-ending contract negotiations and the threat of other clubs picking our players off for nothing.
Anyways. Good news and an important piece of Bow and Jacko’s rebuilding job.
