I’m back in Chicago this week with work, although as I’m in Chicago I intend to catch up with a few people and places as well.
I will be downtown except for a work client trip out to Blue Island one afternoon, which is not an island at all, and from the pictures it doesn’t look very blue. Described here as “gritty” and “a must-see for anyone serious about railroading.” It has Addick written all over it.
There are a maze of railtracks with these cute looking bridges (photo) across them like a 10-year old boy has put together his own Hornby train set. Okay, enough of trains.
I also obviously plan on eating well, will do plenty of walking and plan to see a couple of mates, and I want to do this. A 1,000 feet up in one of Chicago’s most iconic skyscrapers, you can now lean against a completely glass window and tilt outwards facing down across the whole of the cities skyline. Looks cool.
