One day before the window shuts and I find myself sat here (on a sun lounger in Miami) hoping we actually keep the squad intact tomorrow. Hopes of adding a striker look a bit forlorn at least judging by Karl Robinson’s aspirint Bill Shankly mind games.
Konsa, Aribo, Dijksteel, Novak, Phillips and even the much maligned but greatly improved Naby Sarr are all potential exits tomorrow, but we desperately need to add not take away.
It ain’t easy we know that, but a solid addition would be a shot in the arm to an already promising start to the campaign. I am sure ‘the puppet’ has been trying to convince Duchatelet to twist, but you know he would rather wait until January to weigh up his options in a notoriously difficult mid-season window.
Come on Roly, for once surprise us, show some ambition.
