Peterborough United 2 Charlton Athletic 0

For those of us thinking that getting relegated again was impossible even by the standards Duchatelet and Meire have set, I now find myself frantically refreshing Shrewsbury Town’s score and checking on the run-in’s of the teams below us. Tuesday for all the emotion that the memorial to PC Palmer will bring is now an absolute must-win game. Port Vale and Shrewsbury also play the same night.

Port Vale and Shrewbury. Yes, if you have been living under a rock for 3 years, then please meet Kat and Roly and you did hear that correctly.

Kat and Roly burdening us with more debt in our history and improving our ranking every time.

I was on a plane and as we took off I listened to the final part of Jimmy Stone’s superlative and historically important ‘Getting to know the network.’ Those four podcasts leave absolutely no doubt that Roland Duchatelet and Katrien Meire have systematically killed our treasured football club.

I landed to see that old big ‘ead had made a couple of 2nd half tactical substitutions. By the time my suitcase had rolled around the carousel we were 0-2 down and the game was over.

We hadn’t lost to Peterborough in a couple of centuries until Karl Robinson showed up. Now they’ve done the double over us. Thank you Karl, MK Dons loss is our gain. Oh. And who would you rather have in your dugout on Tuesday night? Jimmy Tarbuck or Robbie Nielson?

Oh, and Jimmy before you start banging on about next season and new players, shut your f-in gob, get your head down and keep this club that I and many others including poor PC Palmer love in League One.

    • a2c What do you make of the appalling financial situation that exists at CAFC? And who do you blame for it? Just asking.

Looking ahead at the fixtures, the last game at home to Swindon could get interesting, especially with CARD’s take back The Valley demo planned. Can we check that the current regime’s incompetence hasn’t stretched to allowing Nicky Ajose play against us, scoring the goals that send us down to League 2.
