Independence
Work has been a long slog these last six months, but in my business July 4th signifies a slow down for the summer, and a chance to take a breather. Our office is closed today to ‘observe’ America’s July 4th holiday and my daughter, who finished school for the summer last week, and I will be hanging out at the pool if anyone needs us!
I will show my face in the office tomorrow to check on those weary Americans before we fly to Sarasota in Florida for a few days of rest and recuperation. Lots of things to do in Sarasota including a free concert in close by Venice on Friday evening.
The fun stops on Sunday when I have to fly to Baltimore for a three-day work trip but I’m meeting some good people and for all of us the foot is definitely, as the American’s would say, off the gas.

Enjoy yourselves!
Thanks KH.
Baltimore’s beautiful inner harbour has to be one of the greatest examples of how a heretofore quite desperate area can be made to truly shine through a solid city initiative. I know business trips seldom allow one to look around, but if you get the chance, do try. A water taxi ride over to Fell’s Point for dinner is worthwhile.
Thanks Bob. I am staying on the inner harbor. Any recommendations for dinner?
ps. A belated happy Canada Day Bob 🇨🇦
Enjoy your break, 4 Shetland Addicks flying out to San Francisco today for r&r to help recover from our traumatic season.
Sam – great place San Fran. Enjoy your stay.
CA, I do recall a lovely seafood dinner at The Thames Street Oyster House in Fell’s Point and thanks for the Canada Day best wishes!
That looks great Bob.
