Each lie better than the last
It will be interesting to see what happens today around late morning. Will Katrien Meire be in work yet? Will she issue an apology to Peter Varney. Or will she hope that no one noticed and think we are all friends now because she has finally made an appointment better than the one previously?
Varney is steadfastly not going to let this go away and has said he will release evidence of his, Duchatelet and Meire’s dialogue which not anywhere says his investor contacts will move the club away from The Valley.
After finding out Meire’s latest downright lie and then watching the video in full later, I was lost for words. No words could possibly describe the lastest Meire horror show, and how she somehow turned an innocuous and pretty upbeat press conference into another mitigating personal disaster.
As it turned out I didn’t need to find any words as Rick has done it for me.
I don’t know if Richard Murray has filled her head, there is a lot to fill of course, or she simply can’t help herself but her incompetence, bitterness and arrogance knows no bounds.

CA, for me the most telling point of the press conference – and I haven’t seen this picked up anywhere else much – was when Katrien was asked whether she ever feared for her job with the team spiralling towards relegation last season(I can’t remember the exact question,) However, her answer was “No” with a little smirk. All of which shows me that Roland has clearly no intention of sacking her or removing her from the network. She knows that she has this job for as long as she wants it, no matter what happens, and no matter how poor her performance is. And that is the problem we have.
