Franck Moussa signs

Born in the capital of Belgium but made his debut for Southend as a 16-year old. Moussa ticks all the boxes and shone last season at Coventry scoring 14 goals from midfield. Described as pacy and skilful and only 24.

A lack of Championship experience didn’t deter clubs from chasing him with Birmingham, Forest, Huddersfield, Millwall and Wolves all said to have been interested in signing the Belgian, who is out of contract.

Moussa signs a two-year contract, and arrives on a free transfer. Coventry manager Steven Pressley said this recently: “Franck has had an excellent season for us and he is fully aware of how much I think of him as a player. I would like him to stay but the reality of the situation is that he may seek football at a higher level. That could well be in the Championship which would mean a higher level of wages, something we would obviously find very difficult to compete with.”

Sounds a positive signing.

There are strong rumours that Tal Ben Haim will join from Standard Liege. The Israeli has spent a lot of time in England playing for 7 clubs, the last stop off being at QPR. Ben Haim is under contract at Standard but only played 10 league games last season. I’m not sure about this one, although maybe Peeters would see him as an experienced back-up centre-half in the Cort mode.
