2013 Top 5 Favourite Bermuda things
The first of my seasonal Chicago Addick Top 5’s and I begin with those on my doorstep. Apparently looking at this list I do a lot of eating, which might explain my pre-festive girth. Hmmm. So off we go then with my Top 5 Favourite Bermuda Things over the last 12 months:
1. Beluga Bar
Sammy, the chef at this neat little sushi bar, does a wonderfully creative job with the food. It’s a little bit tucked away, but it is well worth finding. The service is excellent and it’s my son’s favourite restaurant when he visits.
2. Dangelini’s, Hamilton
Last year’s number one, my regular morning detour for a smile, great coffee and something to nibble on. In the last year Dangelini has also added gelato and fresh fruit smoothies to it’s range of goodies too. Buggers.
3. The Dock, Southampton
At long last, the historic Waterlot Inn restaurant has utilized the outside space so summers can be whiled away whilst eating fresh tapas, drinking cold beers and listening to excellent entertainment.
4. Tree Tops Pre-School, Paget
Our daughter has loved her time here at this professionally run pre-school in Paget. Next September it will be time for her to go to ‘big school’ but she and us will be sad to leave this safe, kind and charismatic environment.
5. Yo Cherry, Hamilton
Bermuda is normally slow to the party, so a yoghurt bar in the capital was met like the second coming. Miracles might not happen in Yo Cherry but loads of different yoghurt favours do daily. A great place for that ‘I don’t know what to eat moment.’
