The year I got back

My birthday today…. thank you. Older, wiser and tireder but don’t feel sorry for me because just a couple of weeks ago I actually realised in all seriousness that I am a year younger than I thought I was! I can’t tell you how much that gave me a lift. It’s almost as if this next year is a free one, right?

My son, my daughter and my lovely-other-half spent the day swimming, relaxing, eating cake and actually get a little too much sun. Sadly the boat trip we had planned this morning was cancelled due to the weather, not rain but the wind speed (13 knots) and it’s direction.

Tomorrow me and my two kids will visit for the first time in some while the Bermuda Aquarium. The Aquarium is the only real go-to place when the weather is bad in Bermuda, but I’d like us all to keep out of the sun tomorrow and for a few hours it is good value. The new Madagascar Exhibit is also now open.

Right, off to eat another cup cake and then bed. Tired.
