Witches and Wycombe
While tomorrow another 1,000 Addicks make their travels for the fourth successive away fixture, this time to Wycombe, I will be sat on an airplane heading back to Bermuda.
I try normally to be more strategic with my trips home but Wednesday is our daughter’s 2nd birthday and it was important to be home for it, even though I have to be in work we will all get together for lunch and then we’ll celebrate more properly this coming weekend and I have a £10 Asda Halloween outfit packed in the suitcase complete with witches hat for the occasion. In size 2-3 years not XL please note.
We are all back for Christmas for an extended stay and it wasn’t until yesterday that I found out that the Leyton Orient New Year’s Eve game is on the box. Bloody annoying as we will be spending the New Year not far away in Essex so some negotiation to be done there to allow me to sit on a friends sofa for a couple of hours in the evening as opposed to being happily out of the way in the afternoon.
Onto tomorrow then, one would hope the team is buzzing after Saturday, and it was great to see us be so clinical against a half-decent side (one away defeat in 7 and only 7 conceded). One would assume that Powell we keep us unchanged tomorrow with the added steel of Hughes instead of Stephens and try to get at the Chairboys quickly and impose our game on them.
Meanwhile I will try to keep my mind occupied elsewhere on BA 2233. Give them a shout for me please if you are going. Come on you reds.
