Ready or not

“It was a battling performance from the visitors, who matched the Lions throughout a frenetic and absorbing match which will whet the appeitite among Addicks supporters for next Saturday against Bournemouth and the new season” – cafc.co.uk
I can’t help myself, but like a kid stood outside a candy store with his Dad’s wallet I’m a little beside myself with excitement a week from the opening day of the new season.
I attempted not to get too emotionally involved in today’s game because it was only a friendly, but it was Millwall and when BWP scored that second I did find myself running around the room in the pretense I was racing my 21-month old.
So, by the sounds of it another very encouraging performance against a Lions team, who let’s face it are good. From afar it has been a satisfying pre-season and the mix of games, including 3 against Championship teams and a Dutch equivalent has worked well.
I think we are still short in vital areas, namely central defence and attack and if the reports from the New Den suggested Elliot was a bit flappable, then I hope I imagined them.
Roll on next Saturday.
Hey CA what is a Candy Store? Is it a little like a Sweet Shop?
I, like you, am, ridiculously, excited about the start of the season. I just can’t imagine anything other than success. You’d have thought that after all these years we’d know better, but, sadly, no. I’m bursting with excitement and I just can’t wait!
I am also starting to think I have a comma fetsh. 😉
You need more periods KH…..
