Charlton in defeat to bottom team shocker

Charlton Athletic 0 Walsall 1
Not for the first time this season we were woeful in front of our own fans, the only thing different this time was that we lost. No wonder The Valley crowds are falling. It seems that to get into the promotion spirit you have to travel the length and breadth of the country.
Mind you, if you have been following Charlton long enough, i.e. for more than 8 weeks then today’s result was no surprise at all. The bottom team without an away win since August and an away goal since mid-October only had to turn up, especially as our players didn’t.
There is a football phrase that says ‘you don’t become a bad team overnight,’ yet many of us after 19 games and 4th place in the table are actually wondering if we ever were a good one.
Justifiably fed up Addicks at The Valley: Drinking During the Game; Blackheath Addicted; Charlton Casual; New York Addick; Hungry Ted;
CA fact: Brandon Hall became the 5th goalkeeper to make The Addicks’ matchday squad. Elliot, Worner, Daniels and Gough are the others.
Dear God it was awful. I could have watched godson’s team win 3-2, and next time I will – at least they know how to pass to one another. I almost took my Spurs tickets back – and maybe I should – that way we are guaranteed a 5-1 win. I have to admit to not watching them away yet this season and I am intrigued – if anyone out there has, please answer me honestly – are they really that good away from home?
It appears I have been fortunate to see the only decent game at home (Sheff Wed) but according to people I know, they have (mostly) been different mustard on the road.
