I am spending this weekend in Texas Hill Country surrounded by limestone hills and spring-fed rivers. It is an outdoor playground for those that love the outdoors, and all that huntin’, shootin’ and fishing.
I’m in Wimberley to be more precise. Not the place with a large arch looking over it, but a peaceful, bohemian artisan village nestled along the banks of Cypress Creek and the Blanco River about an hour’s drive from Austin.

Anyway, that solved one of the many questions I have always had about American sports as I travelled from Florida to Austin in Texas over the weekend to watch the Gators get smoked by the Longhorns.

I am going to be in Texas a lot in the next couple of weeks. I’m on my way to Houston today, flying to Austin tomorrow, then the week after I’m going to Dallas and back to Houston.
